We have been fortunate to have numerous fundraising events and amazing businesses supporting us over the past couple of years. This support has been instrumental for our charity, as we are a small, volunteer-run group that relies solely on local grants and fundraising.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped us so far. If anyone is interested in joining our fundraising efforts or hosting an event in the future, please get in touch.

Elliot Foster, Nola’s Dad, will be running London Marathon in April 2025 in aid of Candles, any fundraising events will be shared on here and we look forward to going to London to support Elliot on what will be an amazing day.
Karen played an instrumental role in our fundraising efforts this year. She graciously chose to support us while preparing for the Leeds Marathon in May, running in aid of Candles. This charity holds a special place in her heart because her grandson, Noah, has Down Syndrome. She has seen firsthand how much support Candles has provided to Noah and his family, benefiting all families involved.
Karen's dedication to fundraising was remarkable. She organized a bake sale at her workplace on World Down Syndrome Day, a Pilates night, and a raffle—all on her own. Through her fantastic efforts, she raised an incredible £1850 for us. We are immensely grateful and proud of her accomplishment, especially as she completed the Leeds Marathon in an amazing 4 hours and 44 minutes.
Last year, we were chosen as the Walton-on-the-Naze Choir's Charity of the Year. Through their wonderful efforts, they raised a fantastic £1,000 for us. This achievement was made possible by collecting donations during their visits and performances at various events. One particularly memorable event was a Christmas Carol service, which some of our families attended and thoroughly enjoyed.
We all rocked our odd socks on WDSD this year and between the families sharing our Just Giving page on social media and some schools supported us we managed to raise brilliant awarness, celebrate our wonderful children and also raise £1,077.
Hosted a summer party and kindly chose us to donate their raffle amount to us which was £200.
In June this year six mums from the charity organised a charity quiz night in Colchester. We had a brilliant response with 15 teams entering and we managed to raise a whopping £1600 from the entries the raffle and a bake sale on the night.
Palmer And Partners kindly chose us to be their charity of the year and organised a brilliant darts night which raised £1225. We are so grateful for their continued support as they have also donated the children Easter eggs and given some of their brand-new advent calendars for our families to enjoy.
